Thanks for hopping into my blog!
I’m so excited to start another journey with this amazing team!!
I’m going to be on the Youtube squad, so I’ll be uploading process videos on the SMS account and on my personal channel as well.
Let me first introduce myself… 🙂
My name is Sheryl, 25 years old, living in Israel. I’m working as graphic designer-love my job!- I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago when I saw one process video and immediately it caught my eye. What I love about scrapbooking is that you don’t have to think too much while scrapbooking, you can design it however you want.
My favourite part in scrapbooking is EMBELLISHMENTS! I love the fact that you have so many different embellishments to add to your layout, that way you can make your layout unique.
You’ll be able to see in my videos mix media, stitching and use in cut files. I loved SMS products because her products (sequins, felts, cork…) are what you need to add to your layout, little bits and pieces can make your layout look different and special.
My favourite product is her sequins mixes, the colours and shapes that she thinks of putting together are just perfect. I love the fact that sequins are inspired from scrapbook collections.
So the project I want to share with you.. is this layout I made this January.
I picked this layout because this shows my style of scrapbooking (lots of mix media, stitching and cut filing!).
In this layout I cut two pattern papers and positioned it in different angles, then I used some gesso on top of it to prep it for my mix media.
I splattered a lot (like a lot!!!) of Shimmerz on this layout, mostly I used pink and blue tones- to give it a fun and happy look I thought at first that I’ll just use the cutfile with the hot pink cardstock alone, but I wan’t satisfied so I went ahead and created more sizes of the numbers, so I can cut on different pattern and create a layered look.
After putting the layers together, I stitched with a light pink thread around each number to give it a refine look.
I didn’t want to leave my “O” empty to I embellished it with this cute house that came with the wood chips from We R Memory Keepers, then I added bits and pieces from the exclusive embellishment pack and a sticker from the Pinkfresh Studio sticker sheet.
For the my photo I made cluster of embellishments and frames to put underneath
my photo an I added the “I love you” chipboard sticker on top (from Maggie Holme’s
chipboard sticker). For finish touch I added some orange- yellow thin washi on top
and bottom of the pattern papers.
and this is my layout:
This is the process video I uploaded, if you’re interested:
I hope you got to know me a bit better, can’t wait to start creating layouts with SMS!!
