Scraplift Shimelle | SMS DT

Hello eveyone!

I’m back with another layout for the Spiegelmom scraps’ DT.

This week we are scraplifting Shimelle, I was super excited that we got her this week.

I love her collections and her layouts and especially her process videos!

I went with this layout:

Screen Shot 2017-08-18 at 10.18.46 PM

I love using geometric shapes so I wanted  to make own version of the heart cut file she used in this layout.

I used 3 pattern paper from the “Oasis” collection by Crate paper to back my cutfile’ I went with pink and more subtle colors so it won’t take over the layout.

For my background I used this navy pattern paper with small pink triangles from the same collection. I think the navy color is a good choice here because of the contrast it give the layouts, it pops the heart shape.

I used mix embellishments form differents brands form my stash (Shimelle, Pinkpaislee,Pinkfresh studio and Maggie holmes).

For the finishing touches I used two sets of sequins from Spiegelmom scraps:

-” Girly glitter” –

-“Sweet summer vibes”-

This combination gave my layout a pop of pink on my layout.

In this layout I tried journaling like she did on her layout, I used my Sakura white gel pen, it turned out ok. I’m not a fun of journaling in my layouts but I gave it a go anyway 🙂

This layout was super easy to make. I hope I encouraged you in creating this kind of layout 🙂

Amsterdam 2016 | Scrapbook layout

Hey guys!

I know I’ve been MIA in the couple months, but Im getting back to my blog!
So if you were wondering where I was. I got married then I went to a trip to Budapest with my family who came from USA,UK and Philippines. That was like kinda of a family vacation/ honey moon. I was active though with my instagram, because I’m on the Spiegel mom scrap’s team. Because of all that I couldn’t really be active on my blog.

So I want to share with you today a layout I made using my foam gold alphas, from my stash, as my background. I have so many alphas just laying around so I came up with this idea in order for to use them somehow.

For the pattern paper I used Simple stories pattern paper, I loved the colorful brush strokes and even more the geometric heart .

I placed my alphas according to the lines of the heart so it can give the layout an interesting yet shiny layout.

For embellishments I used Spiegelmom scraps’ ” Hey kiddo” sequins set, I LOVE the green and blue combo you have in this pack and I think it complimented my picture.

Foe embellishments I used mix from Bella BLVD, Pinkpaislee, Simple stories and 1canoe 2.

For my title I used this sans serif font with black and white stripes from Crate paper’s collection ( I think it was hello love?).

and then I added bits and pieces of wood veneers shapes I had in my stash, yellow heart enamel shapes from Bella BLVD, then stamped the word “FUN FUN FUN” with Amy tan’s roller stamp.

for the finishing touch I added green shimmerz splatters.

The best adventure| SMS DT

Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing this lovely layout I made using Spiegelmom scraps “gone with the wind”, ” Jaded hearts” sequins and chevy chevron cork.

I love this products because of the green and blues that you have in those sequins.

I tried to make this layout a bit masculine since I used my dad photo to scrapbook, I hope I succeeded in doing that.

For pattern paper I used this colorful polka dots pattern from Hip kit Club, I love that pattern resembled a bit like sequins scattering. I wanted to mute the colors in the centers so that way you’d be able to see the sequins, I used my white gesso to do so.

This photo was taken on Volendam during our vacation in Amsterdam, we saw lots of pretty houses so I wanted to create the same look in my layout. I cut few of the colorful windows from Pink paislee’s collection ” Take me away”. That was the closest thing I had for houses, so I just went along with it.

On this layout I used flags that were actually a left over from the first cutfile I used this month. I just didn’t want to throw it away- and thought maybe we can make it pretty, I used my copic markers to outline them.

For my title I used this great hand lettetring wood piece from Freckled Fawn and
this black and white striped alphas (not sure from what collection, may be from crate paper?)

For embellishments I used this mini mind Instagram acrylic shape from Freckled Fawn and embellishment from Pinkpaislee collection ” Oh my heart”.

I wanted to add color on my cork chevrons but I didn’t want to fill the whole thing
with color, so I outlined them with gel pen from Gelly Roll, looks great 🙂

Perfect Breakfast | SMS DT

Hey guys 🙂

I hope you’re all having a great friday full of happy thoughts 😛

Today I’m on the youtube channel of Spiegelmom scraps sharing with you

my second layout for May. I love this layout so much because I used some of the

embellishments I hand drawn!

This is something I like to do when I don’t have embellishments that go along with my layout or I just draw whenever I feel like it.

In this layout I used Spiegelmom scraps’ “You are my sunshine” sequins, super pink, bright and colorful (just my style!) and the pink heart felties.

I also used the leftover of the cutfile I used in my previous layout, I didn’t want to throw it away and thought that it can be a good use for this layout. I used pinkpaislee’s pattern paper underneath the cutfile so it can have a colorful backgorund.

For my title I used Pinkpaislee’s alpha set from “Oh my heart” collection (I think).

I used as well enamel dots from freckled fawn to add dimension and more color and few more embellishments from the “Oh my heart” collection.

Happy giggles | SMS DT

Hello to all my happy scrappy people!

I’m back with a layout for spiegelmom scrap’s DT. This is my first post for the DT so I’m super excited. I’m even more excited about the layout I’m gonna share with you today.

I wanted to make a really colorful bold layout using by doing some mix media and using my gesso and my shimmerz.

So at first I started with a pale pink cardstock and on in I spread my white gesso, after it got dry I started building my background by using Tim Holt’s heart stencil that came with different sizes of hearts. On that stencil I used my shimmerz colors

by mixing them with my gesso so that way I can have texture on my layout.

I used some metallic oink acrylic color from Heidi Swapp’s new line of metallic acrylic colors. It has a really nice metallic shine.

I used my heat tool to dry everything and then I put on some splatters from the same shimmers colors I used. I really love the pop of colors on my layout!

I want to put another layer on top of everything, so I used this 3 banners cutfile I designed and put it together with some 6×6 paper pad from Pinkpaislee’s “Ohmy heart” collection. then I cut it in halfs so I can spread in on my layout so that way you’ll be able to see the background and at the same time the cut file.

After adhering the cutfile to layout I started embellishing using the embellishment pack from the same collection. I wanted more pop of colors so I added some more enamels dots. I added a flair as well to add more interest to layout.

For title I used the foam black stickers from Freckled Fawn.

For the last  touch and I added some pink felt, heart cork confetti and the purple rain sequins. from the SMS shop, the products added the pop of colors I needed for the layout!

I wasn’t finished with the layout, though, because I felt I needed to fill in the blank space in the bottom right corner of the layout so I added a heart acrylic shape from Freckled Fawn and some plus stickers as well.

And that was the process of my layout!

Here is the process video:

These are the products I used:

Purple rain sequins

SMS blog hop- meet the sparklers!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for hopping into my blog!

I’m so excited to start another journey with this amazing team!!
I’m going to be on the Youtube squad, so I’ll be uploading process videos on the SMS account and on my personal channel as well.

Let me first introduce myself… 🙂

My name is Sheryl, 25 years old, living in Israel. I’m working as graphic designer-love my job!- I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago when I saw one process video and immediately it caught my eye. What I love about scrapbooking is that you don’t have to think too much while scrapbooking, you can design it however you want.
My favourite part in scrapbooking is EMBELLISHMENTS! I love the fact that you have so many different embellishments to add to your layout, that way you can make your layout unique.

You’ll be able to see in my videos mix media, stitching and use in cut files. I loved SMS products because her products (sequins, felts, cork…) are what you need to add to your layout, little bits and pieces can make your layout look different and special.
My favourite product is her sequins mixes, the colours and shapes that she thinks of putting together are just perfect. I love the fact that sequins are inspired from scrapbook collections.

So the project I want to share with you.. is this layout I made this January.
I picked this layout because this shows my style of scrapbooking (lots of mix media, stitching and cut filing!).

In this layout I cut two pattern papers and positioned it in different angles, then I used some gesso on top of it to prep it for my mix media.

I splattered a lot (like a lot!!!) of Shimmerz on this layout, mostly I used pink and blue tones- to give it a fun and happy look 🙂 I thought at first that I’ll just use the cutfile with the hot pink cardstock alone, but I wan’t satisfied so I went ahead and created more sizes of the numbers, so I can cut on different pattern and create a layered look.

After putting the layers together, I stitched with a light pink thread around each number to give it a refine look.

I didn’t want to leave my “O” empty to I embellished it with this cute house that came with the wood chips from We R Memory Keepers, then I added bits and pieces from the exclusive embellishment pack and a sticker from the Pinkfresh Studio sticker sheet.

For the my photo I made cluster of embellishments and frames to put underneath

my photo an I added the “I love you” chipboard sticker on top (from Maggie Holme’s

chipboard sticker). For finish touch I added some orange- yellow thin washi on top

and bottom of the pattern papers.

and this is my layout:
This is the process video I uploaded, if you’re interested:

I hope you got to know me a bit better, can’t wait to start creating layouts with SMS!!

Reach for the star | Clique kits

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great week, weekend is almost here!!

I want to share wiht you today my first layout using the March kit, feauturing Shimelle’s new line “Little by little”. I love the cut illustrations in this collection and color scheme is just amazing!

I used the exclusive wreath cut file I designed, it’s up on the store! I reaally loved the specialty paper with the flowers in gold foil, so I just had to use it for the wreath.

For embellishments I used 2 exclusive flairs I got from the January kit and from the store.
In this kit we got full pack of embellishments, which were really lovely to use’ some were dried embossed, which was interesting to see and touch.

I used as well the button set tht had adhesive in the back, so it was easy to use.

I felt I needed some journaling so I added a bit of stamping using Studio Calico’s stamps.

For the title I used the colorful alphas of the collection and the clear alpha mini stickers from the sticker book.
